Charming and romantic Hotel in Bruges

Situated in the very heart of the city of Bruges, a few steps away from the canals, THE PANDHOTEL, reveals its charm in this typical private mansion from the 18th Century.

This is one of my favorite hotels in Bruges and I definitely want to recommend it to all of you!

This 18th Century carriage house has been converted to a wonderful “boutique hotel” with a delicate and skilful interpretation of each living space.

The owners of the hotel,very much in love with antiques and objects of art, wanted to share this passion with their guests while creating an interior full of charm and character expressing a timeless, elegant, nice and comfortable atmosphere.

In the library guests can relax by the open fire. The pine panelled walls and old wooden floors give the lounges the singular elegance of an English house.

A ‘Hotel Particulier’ in Paris

I hope that you all have had a wonderful Mother’s Day! If you want to drop your family a hint for next year’s Mother’s day, then maybe you could show the images of this elegant Parisian hotel , to hopefully be invited to spend a Mother’s Day weekend here!!!

SAINT JAMES PARIS

Browsing the magazine Elle Decoration, issue Mai 2011, I came across this hotel that recently is been given a new look by the American-in-Paris designer Bambi Sloan. With an English humour she redesigned the interior of the hotel in her personal bright version of the French 19th century Napoleon III-style.

This beautiful hotel Saint James Paris is a magnificent chateau built in 1893 in the center of Paris, protected from prying eyes by high walls and a wrought iron gate.

It was previously known as the Saint James's Club and has been in private French ownership since 1992. Now it is run as a lovely chateau-hotel.

It was here that the Montgolfières launched the first primitive airship.

Choose your French holiday hotel

Because the weather in Belgium is not fabulous at all the last days, I was skimming through some holiday resort magazines this weekend ! I started dreaming about spending my holidays in one of the many beautiful and charming “escapades” I came across in the Maisons Coté Sud/Est/Ouest (edition June 2010). So if the weather in Belgium remains bad, we will not hesitate to pack our bags…!

I couldn’t resist to post about a few of them. The hotels -and even a wonderful camping!- are all situated throughout France.

Of each hotel I post here today, I will show you only 3 pictures, to arouse your curiosity!!! Two pictures of the exterior or the environment and one picture of a bedroom.
